When disaster strikes, The Salvation Army responds quickly, mobilizing its officers, employees, and volunteers wherever needed.

Homeless Shelters
For those with no place to go or in need of emergency shelter, local Salvation Army homeless shelters provide a warm, safe place for men, women, and families to stay. In cities where we do not operate homeless shelters, we offer financial assistance to cover emergency overnight housing costs or refer those facing housing and food insecurity to partner programs with emergency shelter services.
Adult Rehabilitation Centers
Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide spiritual, social and emotional assistance for men who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. Each center offers residential housing, work, and group and individual therapy, all in a clean, wholesome environment. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society and return to gainful employment.
